Head of Shared Service Center
The Head of GBS will be responsible for leading the establishment, expansion, and efficient operation of the new Business Services Hub in Mexico. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and oversight of the services delivered from the Hub. It will also play a key role in migration activities, talent development, and integration with global business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure business continuity for functions based in the Mexico Hub, including defining operational KPIs.
- Lead the transition and knowledge transfer of in-scope activities to the Hub.
- Drive the Hub’s expansion in alignment with the organization’s transformation roadmap and strategic goals.
- Promote the Hub’s vision and strategy, in alignment with corporate principles and HR policies, fostering a culture of integrity.
- Support the definition of roles and training requirements for new positions, teams, and migrated functions.
- Forecast office space needs and manage infrastructure changes to meet operational requirements.
- Stay informed on industry trends in shared services/global business services (SSC/GBS), share insights with management, and apply best practices to the Hub.
- Facilitate integration between the Mexico Hub teams and global functional teams (R2R, P2P & O2C)
- Act as a communication and escalation point for key stakeholders regarding Hub operations and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with Heads of other Hubs to align joint processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure a robust IT infrastructure and operational framework are in place, coordinating with IT infrastructure teams.
- Implement and uphold internal controls and governance frameworks in line with corporate internal control and audit standards.
- Support the deployment of technology to drive efficiencies across all operational areas of the Hub.
- Collaborate closely with HR to implement both local and corporate HR processes.
- Work with HR to ensure effective talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies.

- Proven ability to lead operational teams and drive Hub growth.
- Multi-cultural adaptability
- Highly and efficient communication at different organisational level
- Fluent English. A third language is desirable (French or German)
- Experience in high-pressure environments and short lead times
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Experience: At least 10 years of proven leadership experience within GBS/SSC environments.
