RTR Sr. Accountant

This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial reporting processes while supporting the operational needs of a fast-paced industrial business. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, experience in industrial operations, and a continuous improvement mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities, including inventory valuation, cost accounting adjustments, and fixed asset reporting.
• Perform detailed variance analysis on financial results (e.g., production costs, overheads, inventory movements) and provide actionable insights to management.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to industrial operations, such as raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods inventory, and depreciation of machinery/equipment.
• Review journal entries prepared by junior analysts for compliance with accounting standards and operational relevance.
• Monitor intercompany transactions within the industrial supply chain and ensure proper elimination during consolidation.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures related to financial reporting in an industrial context.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation related to manufacturing operations (e.g., inventory counts, production cost allocations).
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations affecting the industrial sector and implement necessary adjustments.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization within the RTR function specific to industrial operations (e.g., streamlining inventory reconciliation or cost allocation processes).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain) to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.

• Act as a point of contact for queries related to RTR processes from internal stakeholders such as Plant Managers, Operations Teams, and Supply Chain Leaders.
• Partner with other finance teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting) to ensure seamless integration of financial data across departments.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members on industrial-specific accounting practices.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles within an industrial/manufacturing company or shared services environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in manufacturing settings.

• Proficiency in SAP
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
