Sr. Accounting Manager

An international company is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who will ensure accurate and timely accounting processes for multiple legal entities in the region. This role ensures compliance with Group and local regulations, oversees the preparation of financial statements, and drives continuous improvement in accounting operations and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all general ledger postings in compliance with Group accounting standards.
• Prepare, review, and validate financial statements for four legal entities.
• Ensure full compliance with local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Lead and coordinate the external audit process, acting as the main point of contact with auditors.
• Ensure tax and legal compliance across the assigned perimeter.
• Monitor accruals and provisions to minimize P&L volatility and risk exposure.
• Control cost absorption and analyze variances versus budget and forecast.
• Provide financial management and control over business assets.
• Partner with FP&A and business leaders to ensure analytical consistency and alignment.
• Lead and participate in special projects, including divestitures, acquisitions, and system deployments.
• Identify and propose profit improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
• Define and drive the financial systems roadmap (SAP and non-SAP environments).
• Collaborate with BPO providers to enhance efficiency and implement best practices.
• Coordinate and oversee CAPEX tracking, inventory, and audits for Mexico sites.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience, preferably within multinational or international companies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• ERP experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical mindset, and sound professional judgment.
• Methodical, structured, and detail-oriented approach.
