Finance Controller
Robert Walters is partnering with a global manufacturing services provider, recognized for supporting leading companies worldwide with specialized production, assembly, and testing operations, including work within the electronics and semiconductor sectors. We are currently seeking a Finance Controller to lead the Finance and IT functions at their Guadalajara site.
Following a global organizational redesign, our client is aligning its operational model with international sites. As part of this transition, Finance and IT have been integrated under a unified structure, and the company is seeking a Finance Controller who can stabilize operations, elevate team capabilities, and accelerate process automation.
This role oversees all core Finance areas—including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Accounting, and Costing—while also partnering closely with the IT function to enhance digitalization and system utilization.
Given the company’s role in supporting high‑precision and high‑volume manufacturing and testing activities, this position requires strong technical finance expertise, cost control capabilities, and the ability to optimize processes within SAP environments that are still evolving.
Financial Leadership & Operations
- Oversee end‑to‑end Finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls.
- Partner with IT to support system stability, data integrity, and digitalization initiatives aligned with Finance needs.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to site and regional leadership teams.
- Support the organization in achieving operational excellence and financial discipline.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Assess current financial and operational processes, identifying improvement opportunities to reduce manual work and enhance standardization.
- Lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives using SAP and complementary tools.
- Strengthen process reliability, reporting capabilities, and overall system utilization.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee cost accounting processes including standard costing, variances, inventory valuation, and cost control.
- Provide visibility into key cost drivers to support decision‑making and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure alignment with global costing methodologies and reporting standards.
Change Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with site leadership and global stakeholders to embed new operating models and processes.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Support cultural transformation, capability building, and adoption of continuous improvement practices.
Required
- 10+ years of progressive Finance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Broad, hands‑on knowledge across AP, AR, Payroll, Tax, Accounting, and Costing.
- Strong ERP background; SAP experience preferred, though other ERPs are acceptable with fast learning capability.
- Demonstrated experience driving process automation and financial systems optimization.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Fluent English; strong communication and business partnering capability.
