Senior Controller
The Senior Controller drives the financial management of the Brand in Mexico by leveraging solid technical knowledge, robust performance oversight, and active operational engagement. This role serves as a strategic finance partner to Brand Director providing business insights and supporting decision-making, the position maintains a strong focus on execution, ensuring financial processes, internal controls, and analytical outputs are carried out accurately and consistently.
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and financial presentations.
- Support monthly closing activities in close coordination with Accounting, ensuring accuracy of journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
- Deliver reliable monthly financial analysis, including P&L reviews and variance explanations.
- Prepare decks and structured commentary comparing actual performance vs. budget, forecast, and prior year.
- Ensure data consistency across reporting tools and presentations.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor key financial indicators, sales evolution, and cost trends, identifying key business drivers.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reviews including inventories, customer deposits, provisions, and receivables.
- Analyze operational KPIs and translate data into clear business insights.
- Provide variance analysis and highlight risks and opportunities to support decision-making.
- Contribute to profitability analysis by boutique, channel, and product category.
Business Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, retail, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support financial planning and performance tracking.
- Support business cases, financial simulations, and had-hoc analysis requested by the brand.
- Assist teams in understanding financial impacts of their initiatives and spending decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide finance input when required.
Controls, Compliance & Process Discipline
- Support the maintenance of a strong internal control environment in line with company's policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting tools.
- Assist in follow-up of internal control recommendations and audit actions.
- Ensure documentation and transparency of key financial assumptions and analyses.
Operational Finance Execution
- Track CAPEX spending and investment approvals vs. budget
- Support inventory monitoring and reconciliation analysis
- Assist in ensuring consistency between operational data and financial reporting.
- Contribute to improvement initiatives within the local finance organization.
