Leading full-service provider for the design, development and manufacture of components for the automotive industry and offers multi-technological solutions for modular interior components in vehicles is seeking for an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer in the field of interior automotive design. The position is to manage and execute the electronics hardware design for lighting applications, including product feasibility, from the concept phase to serial production.

Main Tasks

• As Electronics Hardware Design Engineer analysis of the electronics product specifications from the Customers. Able to establish the System requirements for the different products.
• Activities related to automotive development procedures (ASPICE) related to HWE.1-HWE.2
• Hardware development activities, from the concept phase until the serial design release. Coordination with the mechanical design team to integrate the products accordingly.
• Hardware development design using ALTIUM design software or equivalent. Perform corresponding hardware related engineering activities such as WCCA, D-FMEA, part analysis and others.
• Process definition according to the standards for electronics manufacturing requirements
• Coordinate activities with the electronics manufacturing suppliers until acceptance, from the hardware point of view.
• Coordination of engineering changes.
• Support quotation activity with technical proposals and solutions.
• Main contact with OEM R&D department (Ford, Stellantis, GM, Honda, Nissan, etc.). Conduct technical presentations for the Customers when required.
• Act as a link between internal customer, supplier, partner and external customer.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

• Technical studies in the fields of Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Electronics Hardware design for lighting systems (or equivalent) in the automotive field.
• Experience with ALTIUM design software.
• Familiar with methodology A-spice for development.
• Knowledge in Functional Safety (ISO 26262) is desired.
• Good hands on lab skills modifying prototypes
• Experience English fluent, additional languages is an advantage (i.e German, Chinese, Korean)
• Experience with the development in direct contact with OEMs R&D departments (Ford, Stellantis, GM, Honda, Nissan, etc.)
• Knowledge of P-FMEA/D-FMEA tools.
• Availability to travel within Mexico, US and Europe (occasional trips are expected)
