A significant automotive company, with presence in over 25 countries and employing more than 25,000 individuals are seeking a highly competent and results-oriented Commodity Buyer. Location: Toluca or Coahuila

The Commodity Buyer will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain of key components for automotive operations. This role will play a vital part in ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality products while maximizing efficiency and profitability.

Location: Toluca or Coahuila

Responsibilities:

• Global sourcing and Sourcing process: RFP preparation / Gather Suppliers / RFP reception / Quotation analysis / Comparative / Sourcing & Award / Purchase Order Fu ll signature of PO

• Support to price negotiations: Collection of target price and series price quotations in accordance with the series purchasing process as well as support in supplier negotiations, selection and
  award to suppliers

• Collect imposed suppliers' sheets from project Purchasing and review information provided to manage directed purchasing

• Initiative suggestion:regarding process optimization and reduction of transaction costs without compromising quality by constant communication with co mmodity managers

• Frequent communication:with suppliers regarding RFP preparation, reception of documentation, RFP clarification

• Setup, management and maintenance of purchasing information records, supplier master data and contracts in relevant systems

• Coordination and support of archiving activities(incl. SAP, BEONE Corporate Purchasing Action Plan and BUYONE)

• Supports in technical evaluation of products, processes and suppliers

• Responsible for informing the awarding decision to suppliers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field. (Postgraduate degree desirable).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, commodity buyer, strategic sourcing, or related functions, preferably in the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the automotive supply chain, key components, and materials.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills, supplier management, and contract handling.
• Strong analytic skills and ability to make informed data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English and German, French or Chinese (desirable)
• Advanced knowledge of procurement management tools and software. (SAP, BE ONE)
