A significant automotive company, with presence in over 25 countries and employing more than 25,000 individuals in the position are searching the next Project Buyer. Location: Toluca.

The activities for the next Project Buyer (automotive) are:

1. Act as a co-ordinator between project manager (P.M.) & comodity buyers, collecting the information necessary to launch the Purchases process in the earliest stages of projects.
2. Supporting R&D to identify best components solution in performances and price according to Purchasing guidelines and negotiation strategy (led by commodity managers).
3. Leading meetings between Project team and strategic suppliers, from the first stages of the project, effectively identifying cost saving opportunities.
4. Launching BPMs in Buyone, customizing them in collaboration with the involved commodity buyers.
5. Assuring, with Commodity buyers the achievement of Project targets (First Off Tool (FOT) parts on time and Cost according to the agreed target.
- Presenting offers (comparative) to the P.M.
- Leading meetings between Projects and Commodity buyers to define the best strategy before nomination.
- Leading meetings between Project Team and suppliers.
- Leading the nomination process.
6. Supporting P.M. in the update of the Project P.S. (Profitability Study), with Purchases outcomes.
7. Supporting Costing and Sales departments with offers to customer, coordinating activities when needed support from Purchases.
8. Giving support in administrative tasks (data introduction in System) to the worldwide senior Purchasing Buyers.

Skills:

• Should have experience of project buying or supplier selection (in the automotive industry) and management for components or means.
• Skilled in social relations and communication (to get what is necessary from stakeholders on time), determined, willing to challenge, active listener and eager to learn, open-minded, flexible, empathetic and with emotional intelligence.
• Self-management capacity.
