Mechanical Engineer

A global leader in the development and manufacture of advanced heating technologies for a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing, and food and beverage is looking the next Mechanical Engineer in Mexico City

Primary Duties as an Mechanical Engineer:

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations to determine the feasibility and performance of the company's heat transfer systems.
• Act as Approving/Certifying Engineer for BPVC design drawings and design report.
• Work closely with other departments, such as sales and production, to ensure that products meet customer specifications and are delivered on time.
• Research and propose new technologies and product improvements to maintain the company's leadership position in the industry.
• Prepare and review ASME code edition changes and identify necessary changes to the quality program.
• Develop WPS and PQR according to ASME Sect.IX.
• Act as subject matter expert on code compliance and provide guidance and direction to engineering and other disciplines as needed

Qualifications as an Mechanical Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• English level: Intermediate/Advanced
• Previous experience in design and development of heat transfer systems for industrial applications.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in pressurized equipment design.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME BPVC Sect.VIII Div.1 and IX.
• Working knowledge and experience with ASME BPVC Sect. VIII Div.2, familiar with FEA analysis methodology with ability to review FEA design report, interpret results and provide direction to FEA analyst is a plus
