What you'll do:
As a Casting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement strategy for Castings. Your expertise will be crucial in providing specialist advice and guidance on procurement practices across all division business units. You will have the opportunity to visit suppliers for FA’s, PPAP’s, critical orders and product development. Your proactive approach will be key in conducting supplier owner calls monthly and participating in weekly planning meetings. Your analytical skills will shine as you initiate, facilitate or lead Root Cause Analysis of recurring nonconformance's with suppliers. Your technical knowledge will be utilised to advise, guide, and improve casting processes of different pump components.
* Support the development of procurement strategy, objectives, and processes for Castings in line with divisional strategies.
* Provide specialist advice, guidance, and service on leading practice procurement to all division business units and functions.
* Visit suppliers for FA’s, PPAP’s, critical orders and product development as required and agreed by stakeholders.
* Conduct supplier owner calls on a monthly basis.
* Participate in weekly planning meetings to update a 4-week forward-looking travel plan and make travel arrangements accordingly.
* Initiate, facilitate or lead Root Cause Analysis of recurring nonconformance's with suppliers.
* Advise, guide, and improve casting processes of different pump components.
* Audit casting supplier processes and raise support supplier improvement needs.
What you bring:
The ideal Casting Specialist brings a wealth of experience from a foundry operations environment, supplier development or procurement role. You are highly motivated and self-driven, with a knack for strategic thinking and problem-solving. Your excellent communication skills make you a strong team player who can effectively drive supplier development and influence decisions. Your knowledge of QMS’s, processes and procedures is complemented by your degree in engineering, operations, supply chain management, or a related area.

* Fluent in Spanish and basic or intermediate proficiency in English.
