Role Overview Review and follow up with all third parties involved in the imports process in the different customs offices, based on the company’s needs and objectives, following the applicable Laws and Regulations, looking not only to reduce time and costs, but also to minimize the Finished Products risk while in import transit.

The company is a fast growing organization with in the FMCG filed with a presence in the local market for more than 20 years. It distributes home appliance products from the Cookware and SDA categories to retailers, from High-end (Liverpool, Palacio de Hierro), to Mass (Walmart, SAM’s, Soriana, Costco).

The Sr. Import Coordinator based in Mexico city manages the relationship with international vendors, to follow up on the Finished Products transit status, and reception of all required documents
• Manage the correct elaboration of the certificates of origin of Vietnam and Colombia
• Coordinate with all Forwarders, Customs Agents, Logistic Coordinators, Custody and Warehouse the inbound shipments.
• Alert of any potential risk that can compromise the inventories arrival on time (weather issues, delays at Customs Offices, lack of transportation means).
• From the HQ in Mexico city the Sr. Import Coordinator checks with the Customs Agent the legality of the clearance, determine the calculation imposed and follow the indicators associated with the customs agent.
• System Administration SAPB1, upload all expenses related to Market Access Cost (Customs agents, forwarders, custody, etc.).
• Check and validate that the MAC accounts are correct in all concepts and there are no undue charges (Agent Fees, ADV, DTA, IVA, manoeuvres, Freight, among others).
• Keep the system clean and refined with the goods in transit so that this coincides with the actual quantities to reach the warehouse.
• Generation of reports, such as Customs Value, Fees expenses, KPI
• KPI reviews with supply chain suppliers (each two months)

Needed Experience for the Sr. Import Coordinator position

15 years of experience in Supply chain Imports/Exports and product homologation or equivalent relevant experience

• Imports and Local Customs Regulations Knowledge.
• Local Norms Regulation.

• Experience in the FMCG industry would be desirable
• Advanced Computer Skills (Excel, Power Point, Word,).
• Knowledge of customs legislation.
