Head of Sales Mexico – Seafood & Foodservice

Seafood producing company based in Ensenada, Baja California, operating under an innovative and highly specialized aquaculture model that allows for year-round production with consistent quality and supply. The company has experienced accelerated growth, driven by increasing demand for premium seafood products and the ongoing professionalization of its commercial strategy.

The key business challenge is to scale and strengthen the commercial operation to ensure efficient sell-through of production volumes, making the sales function a strategic pillar for long-term growth.


Role Objective

To lead and execute the national sales strategy, ensuring continuous commercialization of production volume, while developing and retaining key accounts and strengthening the company’s presence within restaurants, hotels, and foodservice clients across major cities and coastal regions in Mexico.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an active portfolio of restaurant and hospitality clients nationwide.

  • Open new markets and expand commercial presence in key cities and coastal areas.

  • Lead high-impact commercial negotiations, focused on profitability and long-term partnerships.

  • Manage the commercialization of a highly perishable product, understanding shelf life, rotation, and demand planning dynamics.

  • Define and execute differentiated strategies for ultra-premium and volume-driven segments.

  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, using CRM tools (ADONE) for structured follow-up and reporting.

  • Maintain close alignment with operations to ensure synchronization between production and sales.


Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Active client portfolio within restaurants and hotels (mandatory).

  • Proven experience in seafood sales (experience in meat or other food categories is not considered a substitute).

  • Strong self-management, negotiation, and closing skills.

  • Deep understanding of the seafood sector, its commercial dynamics, and product-specific challenges.

  • Fluent English is mandatory, as part of the leadership team communicates exclusively in English.


Ideal Profile

  • Flexible, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • “Young in attitude”: open to learning, change, and cultural adaptability (age is not a deciding factor).

  • Comfortable working remotely with frequent travel focused on sales, not corporate office presence.

  • Academic background is flexible (ideally bachelor’s degree, but negotiable based on experience).


Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly base salary: estimated range of MXN $50,000 – $80,000, depending on experience.

  • Highly attractive variable compensation, tied to overall performance, sales growth, and long-term client retention.

  • Direct payroll employment.

  • Statutory benefits.

  • Travel expenses covered (no company car provided).
