Billing Accountant
We are seeking a Billing Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals with 2–4 years of experience who are looking to grow within a multinational, process-driven, and high-volume shared services environment. This role is highly operational and focuses on transactional billing activities, requiring strong attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to work with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
- Generate and issue invoices in compliance with company policies and local regulations (CFDI).
- Validate billing data, including pricing, volumes, and tax information.
- Resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics.
- Manage invoice uploads to customer portals when required.
- Perform credit and rebill activities.
- Support month-end close processes related to billing and revenue.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit compliance (including SOX controls).
- Work under established SLAs within a high-volume transactional environment.
- Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the GBS.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or accounting.
- Previous experience in a Shared Services / GBS environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial companies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Mexican invoicing requirements (CFDI) preferred.
Languages
- Advanced English (mandatory) – daily interaction with international stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of billing flows.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
- Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, data analysis, reconciliations).
- Comfortable working in high-volume, repetitive processes.
