Head of Legal

The Head of Legal will be responsible for all legal and compliance matters relating to the Mexican business, ensuring full compliance with Mexican laws and regulations while always acting as a strategic business partner, this role ensures full compliance with local laws while enabling commercial objectives through pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced, high-growth, international environment.

The position has end-to-end accountability for key legal risk areas critical to business continuity, including commercial contracts, procurement, leases and real estate, and licenses and permits, particularly within regulated industries. It also oversees labour law, compliance frameworks (including anti-bribery, whistleblowing, and third-party risk), and corporate governance, while coordinating closely with Group Legal, and manage external legal advisors.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team and serving as the primary interface with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a business-oriented, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage high volumes of work, navigate regulatory complexity, and balance risk with commercial needs. Strong ownership, structure, and attention to detail are critical.

Profile

• Qualified lawyer in Mexico with solid in-house experience in international companies
• Strong expertise in commercial, regulatory, and labour law, with exposure to compliance
• Experience in regulated industries is a plus
• Proven team leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English
